Pen Magic (EQUIVOCUE) Back | Next 2) Then lay them out in front of a volunteer. Make sure the volunteer is far enough away that they cannot pick up the 4 objects. 3) Now, circle the word "PEN" on the back of the card - make sure nobody sees what you circled. Now set it down on the table FACE-UP so my handsome face is showing, and then tell them you circled a prediction on the back of the card and not to look at it now. 4) Ask the volunteer to CHOOSE either the Fork and Coin, or the Spoon and Pen. 5a) IF they picked the SPOON and PEN You say "Okay, we'll get rid of the FORK and the COIN and keep the PEN and SPOON!" 5b) OR IF they picked FORK and COIN instead YOU SAY THE SAME THING "Okay, we'll got rid of the FORK and the COIN and keep the PEN and SPOON!" Then set the FORK and COIN aside. 6) Now ask them to PICK either the either the PEN or the SPOON. 7a) IF they picked the SPOON You say "Okay, we'll get rid of the SPOON and keep the PEN!" Then set SPOON aside. Now say "Look at the word circled on the back of the card" 7b) OR IF they picked the PEN instead YOU SAY THE SAME THING "Okay, we'll get rid of the SPOON and keep the PEN!" Then set SPOON aside. Now say "Look at the word circled on the back of the card" 8) They find the word "PEN" circled - and you are AMAZING! Have fun and remember good acting is needed to really "sell" the magic.
